The Power of a Praying Husband

A number of years ago I came across research from a Gallup Poll in 1997 published by the National Association of Marriage Enhancement out of Phoenix that showed that couples who prayed together daily had a divorce rate of 1 out of 1,052! What?! That caught my attention. At that time, Barb and I were not praying together daily so I jumped in and suggested that we get going on this.

The truth is that it was harder than I imagined. Though Barb was supportive, this simple discipline was a struggle for me on a number of fronts and remains so to this day. How about you? How are you doing in this area? Do you invite your wife to join you in prayer each day?

Dennis Rainey will open the LEAD Summit for Christian Husbands on August 24th in Worcester with a morning session on “Twenty Ways to be a Great Lover of Your Wife”. One of these ways will be to share how he and his wife began to pray together. Check out the website for registration information for you and some men from your church.

We have six consecutive sessions at the Summit and in the closing session I will be sharing about “The Power of a Praying Husband”. You will leave this training encouraged and equipped to:

1. Pray Daily For Your Wife and
2. Pray Daily With Your Wife.
