William Lori, Bridgeport’s Roman Catholic Bishop and the Supreme Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus, has been one of Connecticut’s most important pro-family leaders for a decade. The same determined will that we have grown to love and admire here at FIC is on full display in his recent testimony to Congress on behalf of religious liberty. You can read it here.

One Response to “Bishop Lori Defends Religious Freedom”

I read much of the linked document and fully agree with the serious concerns over threats to religious liberties of churches as well as individuals, and am grateful for the work by the Catholic church–and others–to protect these liberties.

I shudder to think of where we would be (hiding out, intimidated in our homes and churches?) without the pro-active work of FIC and church leaders, as well as the legal defense organizations.

Amidst everything going on in our state and nation, I did not read anything on results of the “Pulpit Freedom Day” initiative from last month–and am wondering if anyone has knowledge or comments about it?
