    FIC,

Thanks so much for posting this event. It isn’t
catching nation news for obvious reasons but it is
    a world-wide event with a resounding message!
    We stand with Israel !!

I will be a the flag raising as well as the viewing
party that evening in Shelton. See the website
    for details.

What does this have to do with helping CT families?

Families, marriage and parenting are in such a crisis in this country and in much of CT, yet this is what this blog is posting about? Foreign affairs?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – let’s focus on the real problems facing families in CT:

    – divorce
    – having children outside of wedlock
    – government decisions that discourage parents from actually raising their own kids (homeschooling, stay at home parenting, etc.)
    – a culture where kids are stuck in front of TVs and lack a good family life (family dinners, time with parents, community activities, etc)

WJR, is there anything you think we’re doing right? Every comment you’ve ever posted resembles the one above: 1) profess to share our views (except on gay marriage) 2) tell us what a lousy job we’re doing. To be sure, FIC receives and acts upon suggestions from friends–donors, volunteers–who actually aid our work. But they don’t post under pseudonyms. Your M.O. has been so consistent that it looks like an opponent hiding behind a gimmick.

The “Restoring Courage” event (just watched the rebroadcast in Shelton) from Jerusalem was very exciting and inspiring!!

People who subscribe to GBTV can watch the entire 2 hrs. there, but Glenn’s speech can be watched in segments here–or you can read the entire transcript:

The Stand With Israel Rally was a great event to bring unity – which is the purpose of the 912 Project which sponsored it. And as for helping families in CT ?, what could be better said on the subject than what was spoken in Senator Lieberman’s statement: When you stand up for Israel, you stand up for American values… you stand for freedom, liberty and justice… you stand up for the values that explain who we are! This was a historic moment in CT wherein voices from the Christian and Jewish communities spoke in harmony at the Capitol. Many thanks to the Family Institute of Connecticut for informing the public about the Rally!
