The MA house of representatives has voted to repeal a law that helped prevent their supreme court from forcing same-sex “marriage” on the rest of the country. From today’s Courant:

Opponents of gay marriage in Connecticut and Massachusetts denounced the House’s vote. Peter Wolfgang, executive director of the Family Institute of Connecticut, said the action will undercut the authority of the states that don’t let gays and lesbians marry. “It shows a total lack of respect for the marriage laws of those other states,” he said. “It serves only a single purpose: to take same-sex marriage in Massachusetts and impose it on the other 48 states that don’t recognize same-sex marriage.”

A bill that would have forced Connecticut to recognize out-of-state marriages died in the legislature’s judiciary committee earlier this year.

“We’re only now realizing how big a victory it was,” Wolfgang said.

So I guess the readers of this blog do not know that the Federal DOMA makes this statement nonsense. More hysterics to rally the faithful.

Same-sex “marriage” advocates have not hidden their belief that judges can be used to strike down the federal DOMA. Repealing the MA 1913 law will make it easier to launch those attacks.

So I guess you didn’t know that, but somehow, I suspect you did.

    Peter,

Gio’s comment reminds me of the deceit of gay activists asking for rights to adopt and do foster care, almost a decade ago now. They told the legislators, “Oh no–we’re not going to ask for marriage down the road.”

What lies! And, unfortunately, how naive our legislators were (at least those who were not in the pocket of the lobbyists for the gay activists).

Gio, and the rest of the gay activist cohort, pooh-pooh and try to quash our legitimate concerns over threats to our liberties. And, of course, they have been very successful in their strategy to remake society—because they mapped out their strategy at least 2 or 3 decades ago, and have wealthy and powerful donors behind their agenda, besides having the entertainment and other MS media on their side.

IOW, THEY were organizing and plotting, while the 99% plus of Americans were busy working, raising their families, and being totally oblivious to the threats to our society’s foundation and continued existence (when you really consider the long-term implications).

As I heard stated recently, “an organized minority is much more powerful than a disorganized majority.”

Even now, someone is probably reading this post and preparing a response that I’m a ‘conspiracy theorist’ kook.

Well, sorry, but we’re no longer so gullible as to believe the deceitful reassurances that the gay activists are ONLY interested in obtaining “equal rights,” rather than taking away any religious and free speech rights from those who disagree with the notion of SSM.

Even their own legal experts, such as Chai Feldblum, admit that there is a legal “train wreck” coming in the clash between SSM and First Amendment Rights of churches, business owners, and those who simply disagree with the notion that homosexuality is in every way normal and natural.

I guess you can tell that I’m ‘hopping mad,’ and feel that we’ve been burned about a dozen too many times already by the gay activist agenda.

The false reassurances are just sounding too similar to the lies of the Evil One, who “lull[s] them away into carnal security….and [then] leadeth them away carefully down to hell.” (2 Nephi 28:21)
