Atty. Gen. Richard Blumenthal appeared on Colin McEnroe’s radio program on Friday to criticize FIC’s motion to intervene in Kerrigan, the same-sex “marriage” case. Of course, Colin did most of the talking while the AG offered verbal nods of agreement.

Colin’s comments (at least, those that could be repeated on a family-friendly blog) were that FIC moved to intervene because we did not think the AG would be tough enough. Colin said we wanted to argue about children “or whatever” and we were concerned that the AG would not “throw Bibles around,” something Colin apparently thinks we are plotting to do.

“They want to grab the wheel” was how he summed up our position and the AG heartily agreed. “All this stuff about kids,” said Colin, “I don’t know what that has to do with the court case anyway.”

No, Colin, I am sure that you don’t. And the AG apparently shares your sentiment, which is precisely why our motion to intervene should be granted. We can only hope that the Supreme Court understands better than you what “all this stuff about kids” has to do with a judicial imposition of same-sex “marriage” and that they will grant our motion.

If they do, we will welcome the opportunity to explain it all to you again. You can call it “backseat driving” if you like, but you wouldn’t need it if you weren’t lost.
