“October Baby” Coming to CT April 13th!
April 2nd, 2012 by Peter
FIC joined the efforts of Citizens for Community Values of Connecticut and others in trying to bring the pro-life film “October Baby” to Connecticut. Now word comes to us from Bill O’Brien, president of Connecticut Right to Life, that those efforts have been successful:
“OCTOBER BABY” CONNECTICUT OPENING FRIDAY, APRIL 13
Fairfield Hartford Manchester
North Haven South Norwalk Stamford
“October Baby” comes to six locations throughout Connecticut on Friday, April 13! (See theater locations below)
“October Baby” starts off as a teen flick – a young woman taking off with friends on a journey to find herself – but as the plot develops, it becomes much, much more – This movie will make you laugh, and it will make you cry, and it will help you see abortion in a whole new light – affecting an abortion survivor, an aborted sibling, a living half-sister, the birthmother, adoptive parents, friends, and those involved in the abortion industry.
Abortion may be a decision made by one person, but it affects individual people, families, and the whole of society – for generations. “October Baby” shows forgiveness and healing, and offers hope to all of those affected by abortion. See the “October Baby” trailer and resources at – www.octoberbabymovie.net
“October Baby” is fiction, but it parallels some real life stories – abortion survivors – people who were actually aborted, but lived – such as Gianna Jesson (whose life story inspired the film and whose song “Ocean Floor” is featured in “October Baby”), Sarah Smith (whose twin brother was killed by abortion), Heidi Huffman Smith, Melisa Ohden, and many more.
Also, see how this movie has already affected real people, such as Shari Rigby, who plays the birth mother in “October Baby.” Shari shares her story at www.octoberbabymovie.net

P.S. – In January in Washington, D.C. I had the pleasure of previewing “October Baby” at the March for Life Convention – I highly recommend this film!!!
Thanks for your work on this! Looking forward to the film.
BTW, where does FIC stand on the bill to repeal the death penalty?
I think it’s a good thing bringing this film here and am glad you were successful. Not likely I’ll go see it but it’s important that all viewpoints have a voice.
