Cathy Ludlum is FIC’s 2013 Stetson Honoree
August 20th, 2013 by Peter
Family Institute of Connecticut is pleased to announce that Cathy Ludlum, of Second Thoughts Connecticut, will be FIC’s 2013 Charles Stetson Awardee. The award is given each year at our annual banquet to whoever has shown the most courage in pro-family battles over the previous 12 months.
It was Second Thoughts Connecticut, the disability rights group, that played a key role in the defeat of Connecticut’s 2013 House Bill 6645, which would have legalized assisted suicide in our state. In honoring Cathy Ludlum, FIC intends to honor all people with disabilities who helped us defeat assisted suicide.
Cathy Ludlum moderated the Second Thoughts press conference that FIC participated in last Spring. Click here to see Cathy’s speech and here to see highlights of the press conference. Cathy is pictured in the photograph above with FIC executive director Peter Wolfgang.
