Peter Wolfgang Speaking in Manchester, 7:30 Tonight!
June 19th, 2012 by Peter
For the first time in eight years at the Family Institute of Connecticut I have been invited to give a public speech in Manchester, the town where I was born and raised. That speech will happen tonight, June 19th, at 7:30 pm at St. Bartholomew Church, 736 East Middle Turnpike. From St. Bart’s website:
June 19 – The Issue is Religious Liberty
Recent government decisions have seriously imperiled the principle of religious liberty in America. The First Amendment to our Constitution granted unparalleled freedom that has allowed many religious groups to prosper and thus enrich the moral fiber of our nation. It is alarming that this bedrock of our Republic is now threatened. The Family Institute of Connecticut has been a strong advocate within the halls of government and throughout the state for issues that affect our rights as individuals and families. Peter Wolfgang Executive Director, Family Institute of Connecticut will be at St. Bart’s on Tuesday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m. to help us to understand what is at stake and what we can do to effectively resist this erosion of our freedom. ALL ARE WELCOME!
In what is FIC’s closest collaboration with the Catholic Church in years, the Archdiocese of Hartford has requested that I do a speaking tour in local parishes to help educate the public as to why our First Amendment religious liberties are threatened by the HHS Mandate War. FIC being a nonsectarian organization, of course, I have spoken in both Protestant and Catholic churches these last three months, both inside and outside of the Archdiocese’s geographical area. I’ve done 11 churches in three months and there are about that many already scheduled in the months to come.
If you are a Connecticut church or synagogue that would like to have me as a speaker about this threat to our religious liberty, please contact Mary Lou Peters at the Archdiocese’s Office of Pro-Life Ministry at 203-745-7300. I hope to see many of you at St. Bart’s tonight!
