Connecticut’s well-heeled pro-abortion activists are concerned that Sen. Lieberman, despite his 95% NARAL rating, is not fully committed to the killing of unborn children:

WEST HARTFORD — One day after Bill Clinton rallied Democrats to Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman’s side, Ned Lamont resumed chipping away at the senator’s liberal credentials, cultivating Connecticut activists unimpressed with Lieberman’s record on abortion and gay rights.
Over drinks at the Pond House in Hartford’s Elizabeth Park, activists who have worked on passing state legislation legalizing civil unions for gay couples and safeguarding abortion rights attended a $50-a-ticket fundraiser Tuesday night for Lamont, a challenger known as an anti-war candidate.

The Lamont campaign was supposedly motivated by a desire to stop the killing in the Middle East. But—with their never-give-an-inch mania to preserve the legal “right” to kill innocent unborn children—it is these local pro-abortion activists who are the true merchants of death.

And they keep that culture of death going “over drinks at the Pond House in Hartford’s Elizabeth Park.”

The Courant, meanwhile, informs us that “[b]y national standards, Lieberman has a stellar record on gay rights and abortion issues. He is endorsed by Planned Parenthood Federal PAC and the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights group.” Shouldn’t that at least read “by the standards of pro-choice and gay rights groups”? Has the Courant now dropped even a pretense of objectivity when reporting on these issues?
